In a remarkable step toward empowering visually impaired students through technology, 10 SSLC students of Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled (RMSD) were presented with Samsung A065G smartphones by the school management. This thoughtful initiative reflects the institution’s strong commitment to inclusive education and digital accessibility.

The smartphones, equipped with advanced accessibility features, are set to unlock new pathways for independent learning, real-time access to information, and enhanced communication. For students with visual impairments, such assistive tools play a crucial role in promoting autonomy, confidence, and digital literacy—skills that are vital in today’s technology-driven world.

The distribution ceremony was graced by Dr. H. C. Mahadevappa, Hon’ble Minister for Social Welfare and In-charge Minister for Mysuru District, Government of Karnataka, who attended as the Chief Guest and personally handed over the smartphones to the students. In his address, Dr. Mahadevappa lauded the initiative and emphasized the transformative power of technology in creating equitable learning opportunities for all.

Also present on the occasion was Mr. M. R. Suresh, Chief Operating Officer, NRRS, who reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to fostering inclusive, tech-enabled education that uplifts every child, regardless of ability.
This initiative not only helps bridge the digital divide but also reinforces a powerful belief — that with the right tools and support, every child can thrive, lead, and shape a brighter future.
