Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled(RMSD) students visited the near mirror-image twin temples in the Hoysala style in Mosale.
Visit to Jodi Temple, Mosale Village by students of Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled (RMSD).
Through touch, our students got a rare chance to explore and experience the architectural grandeur of the erstwhile Hoysala empire.
While one shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the other one is graced by Lord Vishnu. Rich carvings and intricately chiselled figurines are highlights of this architecture. While the Nagesvara temple had carvings of Parvati, Bhumadevi, Shiva, and Brahma among others, the Kesava temple had sculptures of Vishnu and Krishna carved in the form of Kesava Madhava, Venugopal and Garuda.
We thank our guide who helped us know about the temple's history. Our students attended the bhajan session that was held at Sri Chennakeshava temple. We also thank villagers who organized badam milk and biscuits for our children.
Visit to the Mavinakere Ranganatha Hill temple by students of Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled(RMSD).
This sacred cave temple perched atop the Mavinakere Hill is constructed around the idol of Lord Ranganatha, placed on the nook of the cave. Our students had a trekking experience as they climbed the hillock by a flight of steps. The head priest Nagaraj Bhat explained the history of the temple. Students had a chance to enjoy Vanabhojana.
Visit to GAIL Windmill at Hariharapura and Malleshwara Temple by students of Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled(RMSD).
Our students got a chance to interact with Mr. Murthy, the person in charge, who explained the uses and working procedures of the windmill. We sincerely thank Mr. Murthy for allowing our students to touch and feel the windmill.
The students also visited Mavanuru Malleshwara Temple which is perched on top of a hill with beautiful views of the town, mountains, and windmills all around. Children enjoyed the beautiful weather and experienced the mechanical swooshing sound of gusty winds.
Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled (RMSD) organized a special educational trip to Sri Arkeshwara temple at KR Nagara. The head priest of the temple explained the history and importance of the temple to our students.
We thank RMSD Alumni Ms. Mamatha, Music teacher at Government high school, KR Nagara for arranging the very delicious tiffin. Our students enjoyed the beauty of the river Cauvery and rejuvenated their souls by playing in the water.
