On Children’s Day 2025, the students of Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled (RMSD) enjoyed an enriching and insightful visit to the Unique Health Museum at Teachers’ Layout, Mysuru—an exceptional initiative by Dr. N. M. Shama Sundar. The museum, only the second of its kind in the world, showcases plastinated organs preserved through an advanced dry-preservation technique that maintains the natural color, structure, and texture of human specimens. The children had the rare opportunity to see, touch, and feel organs such as the lungs, heart, and kidneys, allowing them to bridge classroom learning with real-world anatomy. Their curiosity and enthusiasm were further deepened by Dr. Shama Sundar’s patient and detailed explanations, which made complex scientific concepts both understandable and fascinating.

The visit was made even more special with a thoughtful gesture—a delicious lunch arranged by Frosting Café, courtesy of Mrs. Aparna Ranga. This warm hospitality added joy to the celebration and created a memorable close to an already impactful day. Overall, the Children’s Day experience beautifully combined education, exploration, and care, offering the RMSD students meaningful insights and cherished moments
